When Beth and Tom approached me to help design their bespoke wedding stationery, little did I know that their stationery package would turn into one of the most favoured at wedding events and fairs. Working with a beautiful olive colour palette, paired with elegant creams and just a touch of rustic vintage was pure joy.

The invitation itself took the form of a rectangular narrow card making it a little unusual and quirky. A postcard style RSVP card rounded off this simple elegant package that was bound together with a kraft belly band and finished off with rustic twine tied to the centre along with a personalised initial tag for each of their guests.

Onto the big day itself, and with the wedding being over in Italy the couple welcomed their guests at an exclusive villa for a few days of celebrations. The night before the nuptials guests gathered at Villa Podernovo for drinks around the swimming pool, followed by pizza, and lots of catching up. Guests had travelled far and wide to witness this very special day, coming from as far as New Zealand, Ohio in the USA and Australia. Both the bride and groom got ready at the Villa surrounded by their closest friends and family. There were lots of laughter and tears in the Bridal Suite, with the bridesmaids (including Bridesman) getting ready. Once Beth was ready in her stunning Ava Rose Hamilton bridal gown, her and her Father set off to the ceremony in a very appropriate for the location vintage Fiat 500. The ceremony itself was at the simply breathtaking Abbey of San Galgano, a stunning roofless abbey which is where Kimi Raikonnen got married in 2015.The ceremony was conducted by the Mayor of the Town and was all in Italian but with a translator. It was a mixture of emotion and humour, especially when the translator mispronounced the Grooms middle name as Huge instead of Hugh. A fabulous prosecco reception followed in the courtyard of Villa Podernovo under the Tuscan summer sun.

The bride and Groom arrived in style back at the reception venue in the vintage Fiat with the Bride waving her bouquet out of the sun roof. After the bride did the bouquet toss guests sat down for dinner in the Hazelnut garden on a beautifully laid long banquet table under a sea of twinkling fairy lights. Once the wedding breakfast was over, the obligatory cake cutting preceded shots of limoncello before it was time to start the party. The couple chose Ed Sheeran's 'How would you feel' as their first dance, after which guests danced the night away. A fabulous night was rounded off with the Bride and Groom jumping into the swimming pool in full suit and wedding dress, making for a fabulous photo opportunity and captured forever in the couples stunning wedding film (a must watch see right at the bottom of the post). Love Li x
